Our Experience
THE NEST SCHOOL first opened its doors in 2014. Today, we proudly serve families across North Wicklow in our two beautiful settings in Greystones and Delgany. And we are delighted to announce that our newest setting will open in Cherrywood, Dublin 18, in summer 2027.
Our long-standing teams are dedicated to nurturing young children and building meaningful, long-term careers in early childhood education.
All our managers and lead teachers hold degrees in Early Childhood Care and Education, and several members of our team also hold master’s qualifications.

Our children are supported to develop a genuine love of learning in our skillfully prepared indoor and outdoor play-based learning environments. We invest in a wide range of high-quality preschool resources that inspire curiosity and engagement in our children – provoking their natural interest to explore, think, discover, communicate, play and build relationships.
Throughout the day, children find themselves immersed in imagination, enjoying the magic of our varied play spaces.

On Frankie’s first day at ‘The Nest’, she ran through the doors to a gorgeous classroom with a smile on her face and never looked back.
In a short time she has grown so much. She learns something new every day. Her vocabulary is developing remarkably quickly. Her teachers are warm, supportive and fantastic at keeping parents up to date on everything happening in school.

Where to begin, we are two overbearing parents of two kids who just moved countries and the Nest has been absolutely key to helping us settle.
Our 4 year old previously went through a massive school-refusal stage which continued right until June 2025. From day one in the Nest he was immediately more content. And that contentment quickly became love! He is now disappointed when the weekend comes! He loves gardening, the toys, the books, his classmates and his teachers Caoimhe and Mira (especially Mira because she does the gardening 😆)
Our youngest, 2years and 8 months, had not been in nursery/pre school before and was hesitant at the beginning but the Nest allowed us to build up trust through a gentle settling in period. And of course the environment created by Neasa was key to this.
The whole staff have been amazing. The curriculum is so engaging. The kids love telling us what they have done. And they love the food! The environment, overall, is the best I have seen.
I have nothing but positive things to say about The Nest. From day one my daughter skipped into the classroom after having no previous creche experience. The teachers are so on the ball, they know exactly how to handle each child, making the experience feel personal by welcoming them with their favourite activities. She absolutely loves it. We get a brief update at the end of the day and a lovely long weekly summary of what they’ve all been doing. She’s already learnt so much. Can’t recommend it enough.
Since our first encounter with The Nest we have found everything to be amazing. We have been made feel very welcome and at ease. The teachers are so warm, kind and excellent in creating ways for my daughter to Learn. Every week she comes home after learning something new. She is surprising me everyday eating all the delicious food prepared for her, by the lovely chef. She is always so excited to go in to school and comes out with a smile on her face at the end of the day wondering, why she can’t stay longer. If anyone thinking of putting their child into The Nest I would highly recommend it.
Our son has just completed his first term at The Nest Littlebrook, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff are warm, professional, and truly nurturing. His teacher, Anna, is exceptional. She is creative, caring, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. The management, led by Holly, ensures excellent communication and a supportive, well-organised environment. We’ve seen a real improvement in our son’s social and language development, and he feels happy going in every day. We’re so grateful to the whole team for creating such a wonderful setting.
My two sons attended The Nest School at separate times of their lives and both have absolutely loved it from day 1! They ran in every day and came home excited to tell me all about their day and the activities they did and friends they made. Such a wonderful kind, fun and committed team and the perfect introduction to school preparing them for the future!
Our daughter has been at The Nest School for nearly a year now – first in Waverly and now in Littlebrook. We honestly couldn’t be happier and more grateful for the care, support, and love she has received during her time there. The teachers and staff have played such an important role in helping her grow and have been incredibly supportive and welcoming through one of the biggest changes in her life – moving to a new town and a new school.
What makes the Nest so special is the nurturing environment they create – Holly and all the teachers are so kind, loving and warm. It’s a small school with a big heart—every teacher knows all the kids in the school not only by name, but also their personalities, likes and dislikes. The staff go above and beyond, looking after the big things – like teaching the children lots of new things in a fun way (such as the Irish words for colours or which animals hibernate), but also the little details – like helping us by gently reminding our daughter to wear her glasses every day.
She is so happy to go to school every day and then share the stories of her day with us every afternoon!
We will always be thankful for the warmth, dedication, and exceptional care that make The Nest feel like one big family.
The Nest is the most gorgeous, fun, home from home Montessori. My eldest daughter was there for 2 years of Ecce and my youngest is still there. Both of them skip/skipped in very happily every morning. All of the teachers are just AMAZING. They are so friendly and know all of the children so well and by name. I would have absolutely no hesitation sending my child here. The whole environment is just the perfect place for your child to begin their early learning.
Our son started in The Nest in Littlebrook in September. He has a long term health condition so we were concerned that this might be an impediment to him finding a suitable preschool place. However, we needn’t have worried. The Nest team have been wonderfully supportive and welcoming. They have acquired the necessary training to effectively manage his condition. He has settled in perfectly and loves his “schoolday” there. His teacher provides care and attention that is second to none, with pure energy and delight in her young charges. I have no hesitation in recommending The Nest for preschool care.
